The Bus Stop Boutique, an upscale resale store in Salida, opened March 20, 2008. The Boutique features a wide variety of one-of-a-kind items,  but specializes in good used clothing for women, men, and children.  There are also household items, gently used books, and collectibles. A  bulletin board lists unusual items too large to display in the store.

The Bus Stop offers mens, womens and childrens clothing. Accessories, jewelry, and special items for special people or gifts are a specialty at bargain prices..  Check the Bus Stop for that unique item or gift!

Two local artisans offer unusual new gift items. A wide range of  textiles can be personalized with names and dates. These make special  baby, graduation, and birthday gifts!  

  Honey made by Colorado bees is a delicious hostess gift! Several  flavors of the whipped wildflower honey are available, and each jar is  topped with an aspen lid, handcrafted by a local lathe artist. So far he's made nearly 250 jar lids for honey sold at the Bus Stop Boutique.

Shoppers appreciate the variety of greeting cards for sale. The commercial cards are just $1 each! A small selection of handmade cards are priced individually.  Come buy a handful!

Personally autographed books by best-selling author Kent Haruf are available at the Bus Stop.  Kent's novel, Plainsong, was a finalist for the National Book Award and was produced on stage by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  He was also a finalist for the New Yorker Book Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Award and won the Mountains and Plains Booksellers Award.  His five books are a must read, and can make a thoughtful and wonderfully enjoyed gift.
